Parker's July 4 fireworks will launch on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, at 7 p.m. from just northeast of Salisbury Park, weather permitting. The Town's October 2026 Talk of the Town newsletter confirms the date. The display is the one planned for summer. The evening around it has changed. The start time, the day of the week, the purpose, and the surrounding calendar are all different from what Parker expected in June.
The November Date Was in the Plan Before the Fire Restrictions
The fallback date was not improvised. On June 8, the Town's July 4 email announcement said drought or elevated fire risk could affect the schedule. It also said that "if needed, the show will be rescheduled for Veterans Day, Nov. 11."
That contingency came into play less than four weeks later. The Town's calendar entry for the rescheduled show says Parker postponed the display in response to Stage 2 Fire Restrictions enacted on July 2. The notice included this line:
"While we share the community's disappointment in not celebrating our nation's 250th birthday with fireworks, public safety remains our top priority."
That background shapes how the Town now describes the show. The October newsletter calls it a special evening to "honor those who have served and recognize a milestone year for the United States, Colorado and Parker." The milestone year still drives the celebration. Veterans Day is now the occasion that hosts it.
Same Display, Different Evening
The two plans differ in more ways than the date. Here is how they compare, using the Town's own wording:
| Detail | Original July plan | November plan |
|---|---|---|
| Date | Saturday, July 4 | Wednesday, Nov. 11 |
| Launch time | 9:30 p.m. | 7 p.m. |
| Launch site | Just north of Salisbury Park | Just northeast of Salisbury Park |
| Occasion | Independence Day, 250th anniversary | Veterans Day, milestone year |
| Condition | Weather and conditions permitting | Weather permitting |
The earlier start time follows from the season. On Nov. 11, 2026, the sun sets in Parker at 4:47 p.m., according to timeanddate's sunrise and sunset table. A 7 p.m. launch comes 2 hours and 13 minutes after sunset, so the sky will be fully dark. The July plan relied on a 9:30 p.m. start to get there. In November the show starts two and a half hours earlier on the clock and still launches in full darkness.
The day of the week matters too. July 4 fell on a Saturday. Nov. 11 is a Wednesday, so the display will end on a work and school night instead of opening a holiday weekend. The 7 p.m. start fits that schedule better than the original time would have.
The launch site has also shifted slightly. The June notice said "just north of Salisbury Park" and the October notice says "just northeast." The Town has not said whether the change affects sightlines from any particular viewing spot.
What the Town Has Confirmed, and What It Hasn't Yet
The October newsletter confirms three things for November: the date, the 7 p.m. launch time, and the launch area. It sends residents to ParkerCO.gov/VeteransDay for display details and the best viewing locations. When we researched this post in early October, that page had not published its full content.
Until it does, the most detailed public guidance is still the Town's June plan for the July show. That plan included:
- Remote viewing. The Town described the show as a remote-viewing experience "with no on-site activities or services."
- Visibility range. The Town said the show would be visible from many locations around town, possibly up to two miles away depending on conditions.
- Popular viewing spots. Bar CCC Park, McCabe Meadows, Stroh Soccer Field, Tallman Meadow Park and portions of the Cherry Creek Trail.
- Parking limits. No parking along Parker Road, Hess Road or Mainstreet, and no blocking traffic, driveways or posted no-parking areas.
- Delay and cancellation notices. Weather-related delays or cancellations were to be announced on the Town's Facebook and X accounts, @TownOfParkerCO.
All of that was written for a 9:30 p.m. show in July from a slightly different launch point. The Town has not yet confirmed it for November. The new launch location, a weeknight crowd, and the fact that the show is now tied to veterans could each change the plan. We found no separate Town ceremony for Nov. 11 in the sources we reviewed. The Town is promoting the fireworks as its Veterans Day event.
Nov. 11 Falls in the Busiest Stretch of the PACE Center's Fall Calendar
The fireworks fall in the middle of a busy week. Parker Arts lists John McEuen & The Circle Band at the PACE Center on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. The Town's October newsletter lists Science Night at the PACE Center on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. The fireworks follow on Wednesday. On Friday, Nov. 13, the Kids' Zone: Princess Ball runs at the PACE Center from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.
That puts four Town or Parker Arts events within seven days. In July the fireworks would have been the main event of a holiday weekend. In November they are one evening in a full week of programming, and the Wednesday date keeps them from competing with the weekend shows.
The Fall Calendar Leading to the Holiday Lighting
The Nov. 11 show comes 16 days before the Mayor's Holiday Lighting. In practice it starts a run of events that carries into December. The dates below come from the Town, Parker Arts, and Downtown Parker:
| Date | Event | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Sundays through Oct. 31 | Parker Farmers Market | Downtown Parker |
| Wed., Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m. | Toad the Wet Sprocket | PACE Center |
| Sat., Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m. | Zak Mirz: Kid@Heart | PACE Center |
| Sat., Oct. 24, 1 to 5 p.m. | Trunk or Treat on Mainstreet | Parker Station rear lot |
| Wed., Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m. | 15 Years of Musical Theater Memories | PACE Center |
| Wed., Nov. 11, 7 p.m. | Veterans Day Fireworks | Launch northeast of Salisbury Park |
| Wed., Nov. 25 | An Evening with Peter Billingsley and A Christmas Story | PACE Center |
| Fri., Nov. 27, 5 to 7 p.m. | Mayor's Holiday Lighting | O'Brien Park |
| Weekends, Nov. 28 to Dec. 20 | Hometown Holiday Experience | Mainstreet to Discovery Park |
| Sat., Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Downtown Parker Holiday Market | O'Brien Park |
Some of these listings need a note. The Trunk or Treat event page gives Saturday, Oct. 24, with a sensory hour from 1 to 2 p.m. and general admission from 2 to 5 p.m. Downtown Parker's October roundup gives "Saturday, October 18" instead. Oct. 18, 2026, is a Sunday, which makes the event page's date the more consistent one. Checking it again closer to the date is still worthwhile.
The Town calendar lists the Mayor's Holiday Lighting on Friday, Nov. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at O'Brien Park. A Town sponsorship document lists Nov. 28 in one place. The calendar date is the more specific of the two. The Hometown Holiday Experience runs on four weekends: Nov. 28 and 29, Dec. 5 and 6, Dec. 12 and 13, and Dec. 19 and 20. The Holiday Market on Dec. 5 has free admission and free parking throughout downtown.
Our July look at Parker's summer covered the programming that carried the season after the fireworks were postponed. The November date brings that story to an end. The show built around the 250th anniversary now happens on a dark Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Sixteen days later, the Holiday Lighting at O'Brien Park opens the town's holiday season. More on the town is on our Parker neighborhood page.
